Our Infant Program

The NSJCC provides a home-like, safe, nuturing environment for infants beginning at 2 months old.  In our program, infants can develop interests through sensory stimulation, make choices, develop trust, learn about language, develop social skills and gross motor skills.  There is an orderly physical environment that contains a variety of stimulating toys and materials where children encouraged to explore and move around.

Schedules are designed to meet the varying needs of each individual infant.  The daily routine includes: creative art activities for mobile infants to develop fine motor skills and creativity, outdoor time as well as play time alone and with others.  Teachers will rock, cuddle and nurture every child.

Teachers show respect for children's needs and talk to them in a caring way.  We guide their behavior in positive ways that build self-esteem by promoting a pro-social environment and encouraging cooperative learning.

We maintain frequent communication with parents and are always available to discuss particular issues or concerns.  Parents are welcomed to participate in daily and special events.  We feel that for your child to gain the most from this early childhood experience, teachers and parents must work together, sharing resources and knowledge about children.

Our low child to staff ratios ensure that your child receives optimum care and attention.

Our infant program is licensed by EEC.
